Our latest drop off time is 10:30am. Dropping off earlier in the morning allows children the opportunity to engage in activities both outside and inside with their classmates.
No. Families are responsible for packing their child(ren) lunch each day. However, we do offer a small morning and afternoon snack. You are welcome to use thermoses and ice packs so that lunch is ready to eat. Please provide any additional utensils needed. In the Rolie Polie, Honeybee, and Bumblebee classrooms, there is a fridge and microwave provided.
Our rest period is 12pm to 2pm.
Yes! Due to severe allergies, please do not pack anything with scrambled eggs or peanuts. Substitutes are fine. Eggs baked into items are also okay. Please let the teachers know if you use a substitute for peanut butter.

No, we do not allow swap days. Each child has a set schedule and we staff accordingly.
Yes. With notice to the office administration, we do allow drop-in days. Based on the availability in the classroom, a drop-in day will be accepted or denied. Drop-in days are ½ of our two day rate and are added to the billing charge the Friday before drop-in day occurs.
Please allow at least two weeks notice via email for any changes to your child's schedule. We will try our best to accommodate the request.
Please notify admin via email 30 days in advance. One weekly vacation credit will be given to families with children enrolled in full time schedules (5 days per week) after 90 days of attendance. Vacation credits are not available to students enrolled part time.
We love supporting our families that work in the education field. Yes, with 30 days notice, a specified return date, along with a payment of the non-refundable registration fee, your child may return to Hilltop after the summer break.
That depends on the class, however, most classrooms require:
Packed and ready to eat lunch in a lunch box, including utensils
Diapers/Wipes
Reusable water bottle
A fitted crib sheet
Small blanket
Stuffed animal/small pillow (optional)
Sunscreen to keep at school
Two changes of weather appropriate clothing (top,bottoms,socks,undies(if potty trained) and a sweater)
Typically yes. It is ultimately up to the teacher's discretion. Please ask your child's teacher if there are any food allergies in the class to be aware of. Store bought mini cupcakes or small treats are usually acceptable. Please do not bring full size cakes as we do not have kitchen facilities to slice it up.

As long as your child is comfortable and able to participate in all activities, including being active outside, they are allowed to be at school. Please be mindful of the other children in our care before sending them to school.
No. Although we take doctor recommendations, a child can only return to school after 24 hours on antibiotics and if all discharge is gone.
We understand taking a week off from work can be a financial strain for families which is why we offer a once per year 50% off tuition credit for full- time families. Please note your child must be out of school for 5 consecutive days in order to use this credit.
Please send any inquiries concerning billing, drop in days or schedule changes to the main email or call the office. Teachers are unable to edit their rosters.
Taking care of each child is the primary duty of every teacher. Teachers will respond to your message as soon as they can. If the message is sent after hours you may not hear back until the following morning. We will try to respond to urgent questions/ matters if needed.
While teachers try their best to send photos and give updates of your child's day, their primary goal is to supervise, educate, and care for the children. Teachers will try their best to send photos when possible.
Unless your child is on a behavioral plan, your child's day will be relayed via verbal communication from a teacher at pick up. Infants 12 months old and younger will have a slip sent home daily outlining their feedings, bowel habits, and sleep times.
Please message teachers directly through Procare in the case of your child's absence. If your child misses school due to illness please message their symptoms as well as onset of symptoms.
As long as this person is listed as a contact that is allowed to pick up, they can. If this person is not a regular pick up please message the teachers directly to let them know and include their full name.This person must also bring their state identification so teachers or admin can confirm the correct person is picking up.
We use a payment processing system called Paytrace and manually record payments into Procare.
Families are welcome to pay weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. Payments are processed the Friday before the week of care.
Debit, credit, cash and check. (Credit cards have a 3% fee added) Unfortunately we cannot do ACH transfers.
Currently we offer 10% off tuition to current active duty military families. We also offer a 10% sibling discount for families enrolled full-time that is applied to the older child. Discounts cannot be combined.
We do not. We do however accept subsidized care such as YMCA, CDA,CalWorks, MCCYN (military assistance), and Tootris.
Tuition is always due the Friday before the following week of care. Payments are typically processed in the morning.Payments that are not received by 5:00 pm on Friday are considered late and will have a 3% late fee added.
There is a 3% late fee due along with tuition for late payments.
If you are late picking up your child the teacher will give you a slip indicating what time pick up was and how much is owed. There is a $1.00 per minute/per child late fee after 5pm. Late fees are paid directly to teachers in cash or venmo and are due within 24 hours.
Yes, families are still responsible for tuition even when their child is absent.
If you have already made a payment please disregard. Payments are recorded manually the following week, typically by Monday or Tuesday.
